Fort Worth, TX: A Hidden Gem
In our previous post we talked about Dallas Texas and the Lone Star State in general, and in this issue we will focus on a quick getaway to Fort Worth Texas that is within driving distance of Dallas. Whenever anyone from the staff at Skycap News is in the Dallas area (time permitting of course), we make the worthwhile effort to travel to nearby Fort Worth as well as Arlington and some of their sights there as well. With it being only a short drive down the road from Dallas, there’s no reason why you can’t take in all three areas of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington while there.
So what is there to do in the Fort Worth area, that’s what we will focus on in this blog post.
As mentioned in our previous post, Texas is a state rich in tradition and history, and focused on the finer things that Southerners have come to love and know. Texas was the 28th state to join the union in 1845 and has a long history that has contributed greatly to the culture in the south and the United States. People in Texas are friendly and proud of their heritage and they are usually happy to tell you about their history when you visit, whether it be through one of their many guided tours or just a friendly, southern conversation.
Fort Worth Sights
Fort Worth, Texas Is a city in the north central area of Texas and is considered one of the most important trading areas for cowboys at the end of the Chisholm Trail. Fort Worth Texas is a modern city now that features great institutions such as the Kimbell Art Museum the Fort Worth Stockyards and a Hall of Fame which honors famous Texas pioneers. Ft. Worth features a wide variety of things to see and learn about, that Bring a unique experience to your vacation time in the Lone Star State.
